Stuck loading after the verification code
What to check when a learner enters their email verification code and the course keeps loading instead of opening.
Why does my course keep loading after a learner enters their verification code?
If it happens to every new learner, the most common cause on a Sandbox is that its Identified Recipient budget has been used. A Sandbox comes with a small, one-time budget for testing with a handful of people, and once it's used, new Identified Recipients can't start the course. If it only happens to one learner, ask them to request a fresh code and try a different browser.
Is it happening to everyone, or one learner?
Test it yourself first. Open the course link in a private or incognito window, enter an email address that hasn't taken the course before, and enter the code.
- If it keeps loading for everyone new, check whether you're on a Sandbox (below).
- If it only happens to one learner, work through the steps for a single learner.
I'm on a Sandbox. What does this mean?
A Sandbox is a free test account for proving Coassemble works in your own product or with your own content. Its allowance for Identified Recipients (IRs), learners whose progress is tracked against their email address or identity, is a one-time evaluation budget, sized for testing with a few people. It doesn't refresh.
Once the budget is used, new Identified Recipients can't start your courses. To keep sharing with more people, talk to the team about moving to a paid plan: go to Settings > Plans and Billing and select Talk to us. Everything you've built in the Sandbox carries over.
What can a single learner try?
- Request a new code and use the one in the most recent email.
- Check the email address they entered matches the one the code was sent to.
- Refresh the page, or close it and open the course link again.
- Try a different browser, or a private or incognito window.
