Dark mode for course themes introduces new options in Brandkit, allowing users to create both light and dark theme variations. Courses will automatically adapt to match each learner’s system-wide dark or light mode preference.

This feature allows users to embed questions directly within a video, requiring learners to respond before continuing. Great for increasing engagement, checking understanding in real time, and creating more active learning experiences.

Classic → Builder 2 migration — A guided path for your existing course library, so you can move courses from Classic onto Builder 2 without rebuilding them by hand. A migration copies a Classic course into a Builder 2 draft, remapping each screen onto the closest block layout and carrying across content, styling, media and screen order. Your original stays exactly as it is — the migration produces a draft alongside it, and nothing about the live course changes until you confirm. A preview step shows you what the migration did before you commit to it, so moving a course is a decision you make with the finished draft in front of you rather than one you make in advance.

Hotspot block — An interactive image block. Authors place markers anywhere on an image and learners click each one to reveal a label or a short explanation — for equipment, floor plans, screenshots, diagrams, anything where the content is the position of a thing rather than a line in a list. A "find the mistake" variant turns the same image into an assessment: instead of revealing on click, it scores what the learner selected, so a safety scene or a marked-up document can ask a learner to spot what is wrong rather than confirm what is right. Each marker counts as a step in the course, so progress reflects how much of the image the learner has actually worked through.

Developer console — One place to see what your integration is doing. Every call your platform makes to Coassemble is listed with what was sent, what came back and how long it took, and you can narrow to a single one of your customers when you need to answer a question about them. Webhook deliveries show every attempt alongside the response we received, and a failed one can be replayed. When a call is refused, it says why in plain words — that a feature is not on your plan, rather than a bare error code — so the things that look like faults in your integration answer themselves. Usage sits against your allowance per customer, so you can see who is growing and cap the one that needs it. Built for the engineers who maintain the integration and the product managers who answer for it.

Multi-SCO SCORM packaging — Export an entire Collection as a single SCORM package rather than one file per course. Today each course exports and uploads to your LMS separately, tracked as its own independent activity, which fragments reporting and forces learners to close one module before launching the next. Multi-SCO packaging bundles every course in a Collection into one file with a single manifest, so your LMS sees one course with a built-in table of contents. Learners move between modules without relaunching, completion and scores for each module roll up into an overall result, and a change to any course means re-exporting one file instead of every course individually. This matters most for teams delivering structured, multi-part programmes into an LMS that owns the learner experience, and for platforms where getting content onto a device is a deliberate, occasional process rather than something that happens on demand.

Multiple API keys — More than one key at a time, so rotating a credential becomes a deployment rather than a scheduled outage. Issue a new key, name it for the service that uses it, roll it out, then revoke the old one when you are ready — every other key keeps working throughout. Each one shows who created it and when it was last used, so a key nothing is calling any more can be retired with confidence rather than hope. Rate limits are counted per key too, which means an overnight batch job can no longer throttle your live customer traffic, and every response tells you how much of your limit is left and when it resets — while there is still time to slow down, rather than after you have been turned away.

Developer role — Bring a developer into your workspace without handing over everything else with it. Someone with the Developer role can manage API keys and webhooks, read your request history, look up any of your customers, see usage and set per-customer AI caps, and open a course to check how it plays. They cannot see billing, change your plan, invite or remove people, alter your workspace or its branding, or author courses. So the engineer who maintains your integration gets exactly the access that job needs, and nothing that belongs to whoever signed the contract.

Real-time collaboration — See who else is working in a course while you're in it. Avatars show who's present, live cursors and selection highlights show where each person is working, and the sidebar marks which screen everyone is on — so two people editing the same course stop overwriting each other by accident. Changes appear as they're made rather than on refresh, and a block someone else is actively editing is marked as taken, so you know to leave it alone rather than finding out afterwards.

This feature enables users to upload SCORM packages directly to their dashboard and deliver them to learners as standalone learning objects. Learner progress and performance will be tracked in line with our standard course analytics. SCORM playback will also be available through the Headless API, allowing customers without an existing SCORM player to seamlessly deliver SCORM-based content. Supports 1.2 and 2004

Screen embeddables — Embeddable components that work at the level of a single screen rather than a whole course, for platforms building Coassemble into their own product. A Screen Builder embed places the Builder 2 screen editor inside your application, so your users author one screen at a time, in context, without leaving your product. A Screen Player embed renders that same screen standalone for the learner. Together they let you compose Coassemble content into your own flows — adaptive paths, personalised sequences, single-concept refreshers — wherever the unit your product works with is the screen rather than the whole course. This release covers standalone screens.

Embed MCP — The programmatic, multi-tenant counterpart built for platforms that embed Coassemble into their own product (our headless/embed customers). Instead of an interactive login, partners authenticate server-to-server with their API key and mint scoped agent tokens for each of their tenants and end-users. This lets a partner offer AI-powered course creation and editing inside their own application — surfacing Coassemble's authoring tools to their users under their own brand, with per-tenant isolation, per-user identity, optional tool restrictions, read-only modes, and course-level scoping. It's the same authoring toolset as the Commercial MCP, delivered through a machine-to-machine model that fits an embedded, white-label integration.

Builder 2 introduces a flexible grid system that greatly expands the layout options available across current screen types. AI course creation will automatically make use of these new layouts, resulting in content that is more diverse, less predictable, and more engaging. Create with AI is being rebuilt on an agent foundation, shifting from a single-pass generation to a more conversational, iterative experience that produces a stronger starting point and gives authors room to steer along the way. A new in-builder agent brings that same approach inside Builder 2, letting authors shape screens and content through conversation alongside the canvas — closing the gap between describing what they want and building it.

When creating a course from an uploaded document, users can choose how faithfully the generated course reflects the original material. Three modes give authors control over the trade-off between staying true to the source and building a polished learning experience: Verbatim — mirrors the document as closely as possible, keeping its original wording, order, and structure (e.g. one slide becomes one screen). Best when the source is already the finished content and needs to be preserved exactly. Structured — keeps the document as the source of truth but reshapes it into a properly authored course rather than a page-for-page copy, while preserving all key content, terminology, and examples. Adaptive — treats your learning outcomes as the source of truth and uses the document as supporting material, reworking and supplementing it to produce the most instructionally effective course. Together, these let authors go from a faithful conversion of existing material to a fully AI-authored experience shaped around learning goals — all from the same upload.

The key focus of this project is to provide uses with the ability to translate a course into another language. Ideally, language translations will be managed dynamically allowing users to create a single course, and deploy it once. The course link or SCORM file will adapt to the users browser language.

This projects introduces a new endpoint to the API that will allow users to convert a presentation document into a Coassemble course without changing the source text. That is, keeping it as close as possible to the original text.

The focus of this project is to improve the process of creating a course using the Generate & Document to course methods. Based on feedback from our customers we’ll be introducing the ability for users to have more control over the process, including the ability to: Control over the course length Ability to select images from documents Ability to review a course overview and make adjustments before the course has been generated Ability to choose the language the course should be written in
