Plan changes

You can change your Coassemble plan at any time from within the app. This article covers how to upgrade, downgrade, or switch billing cycle, and what happens to your courses, your audience's access, and your allowances when you do.

How to change your plan

  1. Go to Settings in the left sidebar and select Plans and Billing.
  2. Review your current plan and the other plans available. Use Compare plans to see what each includes.
  3. Use the billing toggle (where available) to compare monthly and yearly pricing.
  4. Select Upgrade on the plan you want, or follow the prompts to change plan.

Pulse and Hub are self-service, so you can upgrade or downgrade yourself in-app at any time. For the Embed plans, reach out to our team.

Upgrading

When you upgrade, the new plan's features and higher allowances take effect immediately. Any unused time from your current subscription is automatically applied as a credit toward the new plan, so you're only charged the difference. You can review the breakdown under Settings > Plans and Billing > Manage your plan.

Upgrading is also how you raise your allowances if you're regularly hitting a limit, since each plan up includes more Identified Recipients and higher AI allowances.

Switching from monthly to yearly

You can switch from monthly to yearly billing at any time to take the annual discount. Any unused time from your monthly subscription is credited toward the yearly plan, so you only pay the difference. On annual billing, your allowance becomes a 14-month pool spread across the subscription year.

Downgrading

When you downgrade to a lower plan:

  • Your courses stay put. All your courses remain in your workspace, so you don't lose any content.
  • Your audience's access may change. If you shared courses using a feature only available on a higher plan (such as Collections), that content may no longer be accessible to your audience after downgrading.
  • Your allowances drop to the new plan. Identified Recipient, Anonymous Recipient and AI allowances move to the new plan's levels. If you downgrade mid-month, overage for that month is calculated against the allowance that was active when each Identified Recipient was counted.

It's worth checking which features you rely on before downgrading, so you know what changes for the people taking your courses.

Cancelling

Cancelling is the same as downgrading to Flow. You keep access until the end of your current billing cycle, then no further payments are taken and your account reverts to Flow. Your courses stay safe in your workspace, but additional creators lose access and paid features are paused. As the owner, you keep full access to the authoring tool on Flow.

Will I lose my courses if I downgrade?

No. All your courses stay in your workspace. What can change is your audience's access, if a course was shared using a higher-plan feature like Collections.

Do I get credit for unused time when I upgrade?

How do I change an Embed plan?

The Embed plans aren't self-service. Reach out to our team and your account manager will help with the change.

What happens to my SCORM exports if I downgrade?

SCORM export is available on Hub and the Embed plans. If you've exported SCORM packages and then downgrade to a plan without SCORM (Flow or Pulse), those packages stop working wherever they're hosted. If you upgrade back to a plan that includes SCORM, they start working again. So if you're relying on SCORM in an external LMS, stay on a plan that includes it.
